True, Nicky Hayden was gifted that win when Colin fell off on the last corner of the last lap - and his bike carried on without him!

I like Colin,I hope one day for him to win a race but also wish he'd stop talking himself into a corner, there's always this magic setting that he finds and proclaims to have finally found the package he needs to win but the win never comes, then the excuse follows, remember when he changed the fork offset on his RCV by 2mm and it was all roses, finished on the podium at Donington then back to relative obscurity? Even Toby and Julian were talking about it this morning

If colin relies on front end feel I hope the switch to Brigestone won't cause too much trouble. Toby Moody mentioned today that one of the ways the 'Stones front works is by squashing at high lean angles to increase the contact patch, but that leads to a very different feel, and if Colin is this front end dependant he may find 2009 a hard year. Conversly, he may get on with them like a house on fire and put in some truly fantastic performances. I hope the latter is true.

I look at it this way-riders such as Rossi, Stoner,Lorenzo have lots of talent. Riders such as Hayden, Edwards and Verm not so much. So how does someone like Hayden win races and be consistant enough to win the title and Edwards/Verm do not? Hard f-in work and drive my friends. 200+ practice laps, constant testing, constant practice, the will to win.

I am not saying Edwards doesn't work hard But looking at the circumstances. Edwards has stated at points he did not have the drive, or felt like he couldn't do anything more to go faster (BS).I am not saying he doesn't work hard, if you don't have the talent, you HAVE to work your a$$ off to make it happen. He simply does not, and its sad.

It's good to see Colin have found some grips again, however it has to be seen where his position will be when Vale Casey and also Lorenzo finds a better set up..

Hmmm rumours Yamaha are unhappy with Edwards immediately folowed by better pace from the Tornado. Interesting. The Yamaha is a damn good package this season, understandable that the bosses might be displeased with Colin.

Mossop.. you reinforce Colin's point on the single tyre rule. If BS makes one tyre construct that works favors one rider's prefernce, other rider's will be at a disadvantage. All the compounds might be the same, but the construction may cause many riders to adjust... ask Dani. If BS picks a construction that only Casey likes, or Rossi likes, then the rest will have a hill to climb.

On Superbikeplanet Julian Ryder says the threat to move Edwards to WSBK was pulled before the weekend started.
