I've just compared the fastest lap times by CV in 3 2007 races and 3 2008 races just to see if the Suzuki "upgrades" have actually helped. 2007 Laguna: 1.22.636: 2008 Laguna 1.22.499 (0.1 faster). 2007 San Marino: 1.34.709: 2008 San Marino: 1.35.741 (1 second slower), 2007 Phillip Island: 1.31.920: 2008 PI 1.31.313 (0.6 faster). I would call that mimimal improvement wouldn't you?? Incidentally same comparison with Ant West and Kawasaki: Laguna 2008: 0.8 slower: 2008 San Marino: 0.04 slower: 2008 PI: 0.62 slower than the same races in 2007. The Kawasaki really is a dog this year. It makes the Suzuki look good. How must Hopper feel not yet half way through his contract??
