It's all big talk and fade in the race again, I'm willing to bet both nuts this time.

Funny no one mentioned that Melandri beats him on a Kawi and he's first time too!

doG, dont be too hard on Dorna they have not finished meddling yet. It will soon intruduce a control ECU to limit revs, take some more fuel out of tank capacity, intoduce treaded tyres, latin passport holders only,oh and to finish off it will be pay per view. The new (faster)600 class will be free to watch on telivision X 2 weeks after the event.

I'm quite certain Nicky isn't pushing real hard yet anyway.. How bad would it be to throw the bike down the road your 1st time out? There's nobody that works harder in the paddock than Nicky so I fully expect him to bust his ass to get ready for 2009. That he's doing this well already is a good sign IMO.

I think Melandri is going to like the Kawi as I think it suits a more flowing 250cc riding style, whereas the Ducati is a brute that has to be ridden HARD to go fast.

Wow I wonder if ducati would produce a union jack paint job if Austin Powers rode the bike :)

Did anyone see the video on motogp.com? There was a small part of Nicky riding the Duc where he was accelerating and the bike was just moving under him, but unlike Melandri Nicky man-handled it and slapped it into the next turn. Great stuff so far… one freakin good field of riders for 09, let's hope it shows in the races!!!

The Duc is an awesome bike, and riding it gives Nicky a chance he would never have received again at Honda. Best wishes for 2009, Nicky!

I love the wheelie picture... I know I'm simple minded.

I hope that Nicky does well and that the competition overall is closer than the last two years.

He can't say much because he's under contract to Honda. I think he already said it. The acceleration surprised him.

:p
