I hope he enters the British Lawn mower racing championship, I can shear the knockers now - Rossi has special roller flown in overnight, Rossi can only win on Ransome :)

"If he wins the WDC in F1, it will be even a greater achievement than whatever records he set on the bike."

Why's that then?

If he wins the WDC in F1, it will be even a greater achievement than whatever records he set on the bike. So I say, go for F1 as there is nothing much to prove on the bike for you Rossi.

like above person said, with 0.5 seconds would be incredible and we all know where he would be after Yamaha.

Maybe the only thing that would keep him on a bike would be that fact that he is so close to putting his name at the top of almost every list. If he is very successful next year (for example, 10 wins and a title), then I think he will stay in bikes because no one has been this close to record domination for many years. To stop would be like climbing 95% to the top of Everest and then turn around and go home.

How long will it take a current or up-and-coming rider to beat Rossi's records? Who will do it? I don't know. How long do you think Rossi's records will last?

I think within 1 second to winning race pace would be impressive. However, it is only a first test, so these numbers don't mean much.

It is more important to see the heart and courage to push the limit.

Does Rossi have that for F1 car? Who knows?

Rossi cut his time from 1:23.9 this morning to 1:22.5 this afternoon, after a further 25 laps... :)

3 seconds isn't bad considering there is no traction control. It doesn't matter either way because he's not going to F1.

Seriously, if he gets within 1 second, I'll want to see him racing in F1.

Personally, I don't want him to get any quicker or despite what has been said, he could be a contender for a full time seat.
Let him enjoy the session but if he gets any quicker put diesel in the tank.
