The Alice team is a satellite team - like every other manufacturer, the kit and support is never up to the same level as the factory team.
Why do certain people seem to delight at having a pop at Ducati? At least the Alice team started the season with 2008 bikes identical to the works team. Why didn't Elias win then? Honda has been supplying their satellite teams with the 2007 machine.
Ducati is a small operation without the resources of the Japanese factories and as such has done extremely well. Next season, there will be 5 Ducati's on the grid. From Suzuki and Kawasaki, only 2 each. Nuff said.
Elias has never been that hot on anything & it's a case of a poor workman blaming his tools :rol

Regarding WSB, Suzuki had most power at least in the first half of the season. It could be seen clearlly on the straits.

And on the second half of the season Yamaha got their active suspension working wich also could be seen in the results.

I do not think that current rules are unfair or unbalanced. It not like 10 years ago when it was simply impossible to win on anything else then a ducati. Most of this year it was close racing where tyrewear was a larger factor. As long as different engine configuration will be allowed we need to even out the diff by wheight or CC. (500cc 2stroke vs 990cc 4stroke)

SBK final result
1. Ducati
2. Yamaha
3. Yamaha
4. Honda
5. Suzuki

Spoilt brat vr, are you an Ocker? if you read what I said you would understand Mamola only stated what is common knowledge in the Moto GP fraternity about Stoner using the electronics on the bike, nobody said he was not a damm good rider! regards Tech 3, they have bikes which are closer to the full factory bikes than most satelite bikes, Toseland is learning and shows promise, Edwards is probably cruising but neither are in Lorenzo's class. I don't really care why Nankano got factory bits but he did and acknowleged it, as for Hayden the press certainly have done a good PR job on him, why not wait and see how he goes next year! if he goes good I will admit he is a better rider than I think !

Results speak hey Rossconz. If the Tech 3 bike was only just behind the Fiat bikes, then both riders have no place in GP. Lorenzo was also on Michelin tyres and he finished way above the Tech 3 riders.

The only reason why Nakano was given a full spec bike was to be the test mule for Pedrosa's move to Bridgestone mid season. Hell they could not even supply Hayden with what he wanted, how were the Gresini bikes ever going to get the goods.

I also find these comments about robot rider and electonics utter rubbish. There were not any electronic aids on the drit track bike he rode. If anything it taught him how to control a bike. I guess Stooner in the wet proves he can ride a bike unlike some

cont.. This is not to detract from their performances because they certainly know how to get horse power from engines! the Tech 3 Yamaha team has very good bikes not far behind the Fiat team but they were on Michelin tires which were behind the 8 ball, the Gresini bikes are not too far behind the Repsol bikes either, in all cases the "official" bikes recieve the up dates first which is to be expected, certainly Nankano recieved updated parts during the season which he said was a plus. getting away from the subject but Mamola described Stoner as a "robot rider" he meant that out of all the riders Stoner relies on electronics 100%, he did NOT say Stoner was a bad rider though!

Elias results back up his explanation, when they got the upgraded parts the results for both riders improved when they lost them the results slumped, Elias can be inconsistent but there is no denying he can be fast, his team mate at Alice did well on the Tech 3 Yamaha in 2007 but you have to admit the Dunlop tires were not up to much, the Tech 3 boss said Guintoli was a very promising rider who he was sad to loose but Yamaha had the final say, look at how he has struggled on the Alice bikes.
For Ducati to support the level of racing they do in both Moto gp and WSB given the volume of bikes they sell you would have to say sponsors are paying a lot of money to support them. cont....

What is wrong with some of you here?! Elias was quite spectacular this season.. On Ducati satellite made it even more spectacular..!

This maybe debatable, put Elias on 2008 Ducati Marlboro team to replace Marco Melandri.. He would have given us a good show.. This guy is a madman!

I wonder if Honda will try to beat Ducati at their own game and produce a 1200cc twin to spank them (see Colin Edwards on the SP1 and SP2... would be fun...

So Rossi's 93 point advantage at the end of this season on a bike which was on average only 6th fastest is down to what exactly? Where did other Ducati riders like Camier and Rutter finish in BSBK, or Fabrizio in WSBK? I'm not saying the formula is necessarily correct, but you have to look at more than one rider's results.

Regarding Ducati in WSB and BSB and whether the extra 200cc was an advantage or not, well how come Bayliss and Shakey won their championship by over 100 points??? Thrashing all the other bikes which have had 3 years developement?? I think thats why people get fed up with the Ducati's.By the way i dont ride any bikes, just the missus, well she has been known as the local bike!!!!!!!!!!!,hahahahahahaha.

Come on ladies! Of course Toni isn't going to be singing Ducatis praises with his generally poor performances this year, personally i can't remember any rider leaving a team that hasn't done so. If I really try, I can even recall a certain talented italian that left HRC with the championship under his arm, even had a few choice words about the company that helped get him there. It happens all the time, and it won't be the last, afterall like many sports, big dollars exposes big egos, unfortunately it can also expose inconsistency, and relatively mediocre talent and motivation amongst certain company, just ask Marco.
