The man is incredible, would love to see Stoner''s and Pedrosa''s in comparison. I just hope the other riders find the balls to ride with Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa and Lorenzo next year or it will be another runaway championship. Please Suzuki, bring in some more parts, get that bike to handle. Rossi is going to be difficult to beat next year in a race, especially when you consider he starts each race back from the front, who else can do that? Can''t wait to see what next week holds with regards to practice times.

The top speed stats are interesting. Average top speed of sixth!! If the M1 had another 5-10 horsepower, Rossi would be unbeatable! Also, scoring points in all the races, fantistico!

Swings and roundabouts Blue Puma and Yam46! Some people will never understand that speed is not the be all and end all to winning a race. It's here in black and white, yet you still choose to believe Rossi must be superhuman to be able to win on this dog slow, total pig of a motorcycle that is a huuuuuuge 4 or 5km/h slower than the fastest bikes.
I reckon with a new set of plugs and quick carb balance, my old Z1R would give that gutless, ill-handling M1 a run for it's money. Look out Valentino!!!

I have a Z1R as well so you both might have some competition!

As far as I'm concerned Rossi deserves all the plaudits he gets, the M1 this year was top notch and Rossi must also get a fair chunk of credit for that. He's not massively better than the rest but just enough to make a difference.

Lorenzo and Stoner to offer the challenge next year and it will be closer! I hope to see some battles

Was it in china where Rossi passed Pedrosa between 214/216mph.
That is quicker than what the F1 cars do on that long straight!

Yes, some people go overboard when it comes to praising Rossi, but anyone with a brain cell can see he deserved the title this year

How can you get overboard praising Rossi?

Well Bob, if you have ever raced you'll know that 4-5kph IS a huge advantage, even when you and your competitors are hitting 300kph. You can walk past others, while, even with the slipstream, they struggle to overtake you on the straights. As soon as they pull out of yours they stall, and even if a slower straight line speed bike is better in the turns, it's much harder to pass there, and then all the advantage the 'slower' bike gets in the twists gets taken back on the next long straight. Stoner's a fantastic rider, and the Ducati's hard to get the best out of, so I'm not being partisan.
