WSBK is already more exciting... it doesn't need to be faster!

Wth is going on??!!
Do they think that reducing corner speed by 5 kph will increase safety of landing on your back/arm/leg or whatever?

this is all well and good but comparing slowest laps is completely irrelevant. times can be slow for MANY reasons. The fastest times is the only real measure.

Personally i think that unless Dorna really screws this up, its much easier to a prototype series to change the regs to speed things up to maintain their speed advantage. WSBK has to consider that these are based on road bikes and the changes cant be implemented as quick or being as sweeping.

Yawn.... they make a big deal about it then say it's happened before. Who cares any way just watch both.

Whats the gap between 250s and supersport? just wondering for when the 250s are sadly binned.

For you people who do not respect the AMA Superbike riders the fastest MotoGP lap at Laguna seca was by Casey Stoner 1:21.488 in 2008 the Fastest AMA riders lap in 2008 was by Mat Mladin 1:23.741 the slowest fastest lap in 2008 by MotoGP rider was by Anthoney West a 1:24.226. In 2007 it was even closer Casey Stoner again was the fastest MotoGP rider 1:22.542 the fastest AMA rider in 2007 was Ben Spies 1:23.614 the slowest fastest lap by a rider that finshed the race in 2007 was by Carlos Checa 1:24.228.

I can see it coming... as MotoGP gets more boring, and WSB gets better, there will be the inevitable WWF style "MotoGP Vs WSB" events, complete with Las Vegas showgirls and Rossi in glitter. should be fun"

In my view, WSBK is more exciting because of the sheer number of Bikes involved. 30+ bikes in WSBK, compared to 18 in MotoGP.

More people fighting for the same space, more crashes, tighter competition etc

it made an interesting read about the times etc, this sort of explains why Toseland is a bit lagging so far in MotoGP. Mind you, he's had a year experience now, so come on James! lol

@ future

i would dearly love to see that!! the showgilrs, every rider should have a cheerleading squad!

carmelo is such a fool, i mean hes forgot that 125, and 250 go round corners faster than motogp bikes and no one was concerned for them! i dont understand the thinking at all. who cares WSBK will rip next season
