Ain't it funny how you can change your opinion of a rider? In 250's, I always thought Lorenzo was an arrogant Rossi wannabe who looked to be on far superior machinery to everyone else... I was wrong!

This year he has shown a great maturity and some real professional class. I bet I'm not the only one who's suprised. He is very fast, an interesting guy and no doubt a major contender in the future. How often did you hear him moan in the press? He made mistakes and admitted they were his mistakes, he didn't blame his bike.

He showed true grit riding with those injuries which were obviously very painful. He didn't complain... Of the new breed, I'd like to see him succeed... Go Jorge

"He also tried to punt dani off the track at sachsenring and was banned for a couple of rounds"

Everyone loves a Rebel... Rock 'N' Roll Jorge! He's gonna be the next big personality when Rossi leaves, whether he wins or not...

Hey matt here's some 250 history for ya, in 05 lorenzo was no match for stoner or pedrosa.
He also tried to punt dani off the track at sachsenring and was banned for a couple of rounds.

The 125 and 250's aren't shown on US TV with any sort of regularity so I don't follow them closely. That being said, I didn't know much about Lorenzo when he was coming into MotoGP aside from all the people on here and other sites saying he was arrogant. I've been quite pleased him him, and am now a fan of his. He's been very humble all season long, and he's fast as &*** as well! I believe he will be a future champion.

There is a funny video on youtube of some blonde Italian girl (a comedian I guess?) stalking Valentino and eventually marrying him. Also she makes out with Jorge at one point!

lorenzo is a great bet for the future.

but he's using valentino mods... i think he's good as long as he's using competitive machinary. the ducs, a hard-to-ride bike were so close, so, i believe they deserve more credit.

the only rider on the grid who can transform a crappy bike into a race-winning missile is the italian legend. no one else could do it until now (the duc is can only be ride by stoner... valentinos bikes can be ride by anyone).

great ride for Jorge!
i personally like him since i like the lollipop too...nyahahahaha
anyhow...i think attitude wise, jorge is much better to get along with compared to Dani. and the kids' got talent, i think it will still be top 6 now that will be fighting for the championship next year: Rossi,Stoner,Lorenzo,Pedrosa,Hayden and Dovi

He's fast, but can he stay on it? I hope so, but I reckon he spent too much time this year nursing himself to really kick off '09 with his head in the right place.
