This IS a very good result by Toni on the 08 spring valve machine. I wonder at the validity of spending all this time setting up a bike they won't be using next season. From both Hayden and Pedrosa's comments the pneumatic valve engine (08 version) required a significantly different setup to the spring valve one. Dovisioso spent most of the day getting a rider position to suit - maybe Elias was doing the same though itdidn't read that way. Any thoughts??

Hi Belly, Probably trying to rebuild some confidence after a season spent on what by all accounts (from the riders) a very difficult machine to ride, I don't think you can read much into the current Alice riders times as the bikes are quite different from what was provided to the 2 riders last year, I feel very sorry for Guintoli as I believe he was unlucky to loose his Moto GP ride and not get a ride with Yamaha in WSB.
