Let's face it, we all knew from day one that Rossi would be #1 and Stoner #2 on this top-10. After that, I didn't think it was quite so clear cut, but Lorenzo thoroughly deserves #3.

He made some massive (and spectacular!) errors, but that's because he was really pushing himself and finding out what the bike was capable (or not quite capable) of. He showed some real raw talent that was very exciting to watch.

He's also, somehow, turned from being a loathsome arrogant swine into a matured, humble, respecting, but no-less charging rider, which has been a pleasant, welcome surprise.

Miguel, I don't mind the celebrations. I think it adds to the show.

At Indy there was a rider Q&A and someone asked Jorge why he does the celebrations. To me his answer more or less said he is a fan of Rossi and always liked Rossi's celebrations and the fact that Rossi has fun and enjoys many aspects of racing. So Jorge wanted to do the same.

He was also asked which pronounciation he preferred in regards to his last name. Loren-tho I guess is the Spanish version, while Loren-zho is how it's said in America/English I guess. He said to call him Loren-Show :)

I didn't follow 250 closely so I didn't know much about him before, but I am a fan now :) Future champion!!

A deserved 3rd spot for Lozzer. Here is someone who i have always liked and this year he has really grown-up both in racecraft and attitude. I can see him challenging for more wins next year and stepping on a few peoples toes on the way!

Paul 46, you can post like "Rossi is 2008 World Champion" or "Ducati is the fastest Bike" and still someone will press disagree button :?

I believe Dani is one of the best starter on the grid, even exceeding Stoner as we've seen several times. But when it comes to 1 on 1 battle I put Lorenzo on a higher rank, to me 3rd place is well deserved.
Just curious, if we put Stoner on the same machinery as lorenzo maybe 2nd place is more way deserved... :p

Well deserved 3rd place, personally I'd put him 1st.
Lorenzo always made me smile (in a good way) his outrageous arrogance was just the product of being a super star at an early age but the talent and determination have always been there. Now that he has matured a bit from his "Loonie Lorenzo" years he is really excellent, motivated, showman, straight forward, spectacular, and lets not forget a **** stirrer. That guy just doesnt complain he takes what he gets gives it 110% every day and I recon he is the best show in MotoGp.
The press and Dorna must love that guy, I can't wait till he clashes with Rossi, make no mistake IT WILL HAPPEN.

Fantastic news - I''ve always been a Rossi fan but believe that Lorenzo is the Doctor''s biggest threat - hence the wall!!!
Can''t wait for an explosive 2009 season and a fight to the end for the championship
Go Lorenzo go ---

Ahhhh..what does it matter...the only person with outgoing personality, charisma and everything that makes a rider exciting is Lorenzo....(Once Vale retires from the sport)...this is the man to be heir apparent to the throne. Like it or not he is quite capable and 2009 will show us. I just hope that he does not get his image sullied when challenging Rossi because he will and words will be exchanged and he will get the brunt of everyone's anger. I am a proud Rossi Fan, but once he is gone I will step in line behind Lorenzo to cheer him on.
