Casey for sure is an unique character.. Somehow he can ride that Ducati like demon, blazingly fast & focused (well, not until Valentino screw his "head" at Laguna Seca)..

Well deserved position, quite realistic I would say.. Return in 2009 with full strength Casey, and more mature.. Nobody is perfect!

And for my dearest loeb, please get ur self a life.. Yes, Stoner undoubtly fast.. But to say he is the Michael Schumasher and Loeb of Motogp is completely wrong..

He has to beat Rossi's record before the people out there recognize him as the greatest ever, which is:
a. 8 times world champion
b. Get himself an underdog bike and win the championship

underdog bike 04 yamaha M1.
the best yamaha could do in 03 was a single 3rd place, rossi gave them 9 wins in 04.
By the way rossi's first race bike was a pre owned and crashed cagiva mito.

NO doubt Casey is one of the best out there! But please be realistic and do not compare him to the best. Since he has yet to prove he belongs to the company of the best riders in history. For the time being he is far from equalling likes of Wayne Rainey, Kevin Schwantz or Mick Doohan. And any comparison to Vale is ridiculous, at least for the time being.
But what I found the most disappointing about Casey is his attitude and his frequent public representations clearly reflect his discomfort about the fact that THERE ARE FASTER RIDERS! :p

Baja. For you to really believe that the '03 Yamaha was the same as the '04 version would explain how you truly believe in your own little world that Valentino is some sort of Hero/rider/suspension,electronics+design engineer all rolled into one. Throw in the fact there is no test rider for any of his equipment and I could see why you act like a cheap double glazing salesman by trying to ruin the reputation of your opposition rather than singing your own man's merits.

Be good enough to not post "Casey is crap" on a casey thread. Just wait til tommorow to "wax lyrical" with your fellow blinkered as well as rubbing shoulders with some of the more level headed Valentino fans.

Based on race results you can clearly say it is very much a Rossi-Stoner battle, not such a surprising outcome.
Based on rider popularity I think some riders would be placed further down the order, in that respect I had expected Edwards and Hayden to be higher up :)

Some of you lot are really childish & pathetic.

Stoner is a good rider & the only one of ducati's riders that could handle the 08 machine (other than probably Bayliss if given the chance).

I would say that Stoner on the 07 bike was untouchable (in honesty i thought this was mainly due to the bike being uncatchable on the straight) but this doesnt detract fom the amazing season Casey had.

I think he will continue to be the closest to Vale this year though i do believe Lorenzo & Dovi will push him v close.
