Now that he can drive a car, please leave MotoGP as we can do without his sly and devious attitude and a lot of us would enjoy watching it without him. Now all you Sad rossi fans will kick off :?

@Morgue
First: Really? Who apart from Khalid Al Qassimi didn't? We are talking about the WRC cars, not the lower classes, are we?
Second: Yes he did, but that's only true for the first two stages. After that, the time gap to the top drivers remained pretty constant but his positions improved because there were fewer cars left. With similar results in the first 2 stages he might have overtaken Patrik Flodin (Group N) but he would still have been 3 minutes behind a top10 position.
Third and fourth: Well, Loeb didn't sound too enthusiastic to me. It sounded more like he "Yea it was a tough rally for him, but at least he improved." Being really impressed sounds different to me.

First: It's not like all the people behind him in the standings crashed out, he does have a descent pace but lacks experience, especially when it comes to reacting to pace notes.
Second: He chose to start cautiously because he didn't want to make the same mistake as at his first attemp.
Third: Even greats like Loeb acknowledge that this was a very tough rally, especially with the new single tyre rule, not being permitted to cut them and not having recon riders before the start of stages.
Fourth: The same Loeb (amongst others) acknowledges his effort and the quality of the result, that should tell you something.

Have you guys even looked at the result a bit more closely? He lost over 13 minutes in less than 3 hours. Overall he was over 8% slower than Sebastian Loeb. That's like being lapped 2 or 3 times in a MotoGP race. In the end he was on the same level as some group N drivers (which is a slower class). The reason why he could overtake some drivers in WRC-spec cars was because they either crashed or had technical problems (apart from Khalid Al Qassimi who finished 16th). At the moment, I can't see him doing any more than drive and hope that some of the big boys in front of him crash or that they got problems with their cars.

george... "Now all you Sad rossi fans will kick off"... that's the only reason you said it isn't it mate, to get a rise out of people? Why? Do you really get that much of a kick out of it?

Nice one Rossi... just hope another MotoGP rider does something interesting until the next season starts...
