Henri........That's right NO QUALIFIERS!! Qualifying tires were a stupid idea in the first place. Why base "qualifying" for starting positions on tires that ARE NOT/CAN'T be used in the race? It's a waste of time/energy/resources! This change could undoubtedly have an effect on riders....as some riders did better on qualifiers than others.....and some riders usually did better laptimes (further up the timesheets) on race rubber!

Won't make any difference. VR & CS will still be out front leaving all in their wake.

Cel - i agree, but will they be close enough to make for exciting racing.. I don't think so...most of the other Bridgestone runners were no where near this year so I don't think they'll be much closer next year.

Don't forget to add some of the Michelin guys into the mix. Personally I have quite high expectations of Lorenzo to be running with the top guys regularly when using the same rubber.
Overall times should drop, not many new records I expect, unless Bridgestone have their work cut out and get it all right within the limited specs they can provide to everyone.

Well.....it seems they''ve got it right, as far as I can tell. To me the most important piece is where it''s stated that the tires will be allocated on a "random" basis by persons OTHER than Bridgestone personel. That should effectively eliminate the possibility of one rider to receive a different specification tire than the others by DESIGN.....in otherwords: FAVORITISM. Such benefactors in the past having been Rossi and Stoner (recent past).
