Bayless couldn't carry Rossi's jock strap with a suitcase... He couldn't beat Edwards when he was in superbike and now he's going to beat or challeng Rossi :?

In terms of MotoGP's future the current condition will probably pass but they need to restrict or limit electronics to make the racing more interesting and to reduce costs. The single tire rule is a good start but not enough. WSB is becoming more and more interesting especially now without Bayliss and with more teams joining in. I'd like to see KTM and Triumph join the party as well as more American riders.

Going back to 990's would be interesting but probably too costly and would be seen as going backwards. They should stick with the 800's by figuring out ways to reduce costs and make the racing more competitive.

Rossconz I made similar comments before, I agree that Kawi knows it stinks and isn't willing to make the committment to become better so why waste time. It has nothing to do with money. If they pull out of MotoGP they should put a boat load of money into developing a winning bike in WSB so it would translate into showroom sales. While I like Hopkins he really doesn't have the talent to compete with the front runners. Melandri on the other hand does if he can get his confidence back. Hopefully Melandri will get a ride in MotoGP or WSB.

According to Autosport, Melandri's Manager is speaking to Dorna & Melandri expects them to find him a ride. Hopkins Manager has also been tasked with finding him with a ride.

If there ain't no rides - there ain't no rides and Melandri will not be top of any one's shopping list after last years Ducati experience.....

Very suprised no-one supported MD Zane on his last comment??

He's right- changing the formula again would cost millions when we already have 800cc bikes developed.

As for banning electronics? Hmmm, I agree they remove some of the spectacle, but Moto GP is a prototype class and should have leading tech.

What about removing all tech which relates to track position via GPS or the bike 'learning' where it is?

I'm all for traction control, but not the stuff that adapts itself depending on where the bike is- that could never translate to the road, and save mega bucks.

Also, how about 'sealed' engines for a race weekend, to cut rebuild costs?

Bear, don't forget they brought 1000cc to beat a 500cc, if today you put the same amount of money they put to developp the first 1000cc on 2 strokes you will be really surprised with the result.
