No massive loss to lose the Hopper really as he has done nothing since coming into the series and only there because of the big sponsorship money.

Melandri however has scored good points in previous seasons ( not last ye****) and still has a future in motogp.

Wonder who aspar will get to ride the bikes if he eventually takes over the Kwaks??

I wonder why its taking Kawasaki so long to tell the world they have quit.

With the threat of Dorna posting a massive fine on them for pulling out, are the having seconds thoughts.

Or is this the work of the great Aspar, either asking for continued development, or may be more money / backing ???

This whole situation is driving me up the wall !

I cant think what Hooper and Marco are going through. At John has always got a ride in the AMA/DMG on a ZX10. Monster will still pay him big money for that ride.

The AMA rumour is maddness,, at the moment there are stacks of rumours including one that Gresini will give team scot 1 of its 4 bike's for melandri so that they both have 3 bikes each for the 2 rider teams. Dorna are funding this as HONDA will no commit to anymore bikes. But really everything is just coming from ideas that the releavnt rider managers are trying to sort for ther guys. Tomorrow's meeting in Japan of all the manafacturers and Dorna should have an announcment of the final verdict of the Kawasaki and possibly MotoGP's future. With some statement from the boss of dorna re 09-10 being a basis on if the GP will continue!!

Maybe Kawasaki figure that Dorna will eventually offer them some financial help to stay? If they do go it'll be sad to lose more bikes off the grid, everyone harks on about them being backmarkers but someone's got to do it. TBH if you're not on a factory Yamaha,Ducati or Honda you're likely to be making up the rest of the field anyway. Just my humble opinion before someone starts having a go.

Kwak should just shift the team amd riders to superbike to save some cash and let aspar run a one rider team in GPs

How short some peoples' memories are. Hopper finished 4th in the championship on the under powered Suzuki. That means in a very strong rider field, only 3 managed to beat him.

Some people will disagree with anything!

Twit's comment about Hopper is a FACT. You can't disagree with it, he did finish 4th.
