FIRST PIC: Hayden in red

2006 MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden has appeared in full 2009 Ducati Marlboro livery for the first time (pictured).

The American wore a temporary 'stars and stripes' livery during post-2008 season tests for the Italian factory, but with his former Repsol Honda contract having since expired Hayden is free to appear in 'red' from now on.

Hayden was pictured while being officially introduced as a Ducati Marlboro rider alongside team-mate Casey Stoner at Ducati's annual “Wrooom” press ski meeting at Madonna di Campiglio in Italy on Wednesday.

Hayden will ride in official Ducati Marlboro colours for the first time during testing at Sepang from February 5-7.

Ducati Marlboro will be the only team on the 2009 grid to feature two former MotoGP world champions.

So now you can see why some Valentino fans will hate everything red this coming season as the two in recent past who have taken the belt from Valentino are now in the same camp.
I dont include all Valentino fans in the above as THERE ARE LOTS OF GOOD LEVEL HEADED FANS of his on this forum too.
