@waz Suspect this poor and untimely desicion has been arrived at as a result of internal management wrangling at Aprilia, and not a deliberate, cynical corporate attempt to Kneecap the new series. It is certain that they were the biggest losers in the series shift, but they really stand to gain nothing by not seeking an active part in the replacement. Their engineering and general contribution to bike racing is too considerable for them to have behaved in this manner. "Aprilia will regret the move" - says CarbonFiber - Can't help thinking that he is absolutely correct!! Cheers

Aprilia are certainly entitled to decide / operate any way they wish. However, it's the timing here that really sucks!! Stitching their dependants up will win them no friends, and challenges their ongoing Kudos in what, after all, is a fairly close-knit sporting fraternity. No Winners here !!! The somewhat embryonic Moto2 series could well have done without this kind of upset. Not really convinced by the rationale behind this untimely decision either.!!

"Character counts for far more than winning a race!!!" Never did - never will - check the records out ! Rossi has always displayed far more "Character, Charisma , Charm, Grace than anyone in the history of the sport!! That said , I am also disappointed by his "it's my Bike" attitude - let's face it - it's Yamaha's Bike - they have paid him VERY handsomely to develop it !! Just hope he gets on with what he does best - RACING -up to now - He Has No Equal!! Cheers

Good post race fan !! Put numbers into what I merely suggested !! An analogy might be - GP Machines vs Superstocks. Vale, (and TEAM - most important to remember) were NEVER going to win this race in the class they were in - but, hell - what a great effort!! Is this all so BAD that you have to try to bring it down - MR Sickening ??? ( Yep - Sickening !!) - have a Think !! Cheers

Roemer (on another thread) suggested that the TEAM was denied a result by mechanical problems - as they say , "That's Racing" - Still very glad that Vale and the guys were able to give a creditable account of their effort. @Morgue "Face it folks, Suzuki will never amass to anything in MotoGP. No pep talk by Denning or rookie rider can straighten what is bent." How negative!!! Suzuki are a world-Dominating manufacturer of high-performance m'cycles - IMVHO they could also dominate GP with the right people - Riders / Managers / pit crews - none of which they have now !!! Budgetary , or otherwise - BIG S are tarnishing their own immaculate brand by this half-hearted effort. Denning's departure and an Alien signing would reverse this sad team's fortunes ( IMVHO, of course). Do Not write them off - they have (at least) the potential to be as good as Hon / Yam / Duc Hope things change! Cheers
