My point was the series in general - not nationality. If you got regular racers (any nationality) racing in a series that they know the tracks and familiar with thier teams and bikes, it should be VERY difficult for anyone to come in a win straight away. And it happen multiple times with 2 different riders very recently in BSB.

Reg Pridmore was living and racing in the States BEFORE the AMA was even started. Hats off to the guy. I didn't say a foreigner couldn't win. LOL! Mladin isn't exactly American! LOL!

Why is he still fooling with that Krapaski? This guy beat Bayliss and Edwards on a Superbike. He beat Rossi and Biaggi on MotoGP bikes. Why is he wasting his time and talent with that bike? Surely he saw how Laconi got tired of crashing his brains out and left for greener pastures.

Being that this R1 is a first year bike and surely not fully developed, I believe there is more to come from both Yamaha and Spies. The bike seems to corner like a 250. If they can get a little more top end out of it Spies and the R1 will be dangerous. He may not win the title but he sure is gonna make it interesting!

"He (Hopper) was in Moto-GP for 100 years and did NOTHING. Tamada has a better record than him. so does Edwards I don't ever recall Tamada finishing 4th in the championship - even though he was on a Honda 990. Tamada and Edwards never had to ride a Suzuki. No one has finished the series higher on the 4 stroke Suzuki yet Hopper gets it all the time...............
