Top result by Mikko, and a great result by Jarri. But I think the real star of this rally was Matti Rantanen. 5th Overall in only his second go in a WR Car? (correct me if I am wrong)

Much as I am not against Matt Wilson, or Henning maybe Matti Rantanen would do a better job in a Stobart car than either those two?

Good weekend for Ford anyhow. Can Mikko be champ this year? I wonder... :?

Shows how even though Loeb had an up and down season, he still ended as champion again. By far the best driver/car combination in WRC. I am not a citroen or Loeb fan, but his pace on Rally GB showed just how good he is, and how much better than the rest. I would put a large amount on him doing it again in 2010 with ease.

No disrespect to Tom, but I think this just shows how weak the entry was to Rally Scotland. Congrats anyway Tom.

Looking at the poor entry, he should get a decent finish too.

Seems that the economy has finally had an impact on my contribution to Motorsport. Was planning to go up on Wednesday night to Marshal for the entire event. After discussions with mates, have decided to can the trip. Initially I thought that the PDF I had been sent with the entry on was corrupt and half was missing. Then realised Adam Gould was seeded at 4! We just cant justify a 1200 mile round trip to watch such a poor entry. With cars running at 1 minute intervals, each stage will be over in little over 30 minutes. Such a shame. Actually was looking forward to this more than Rally GB. I am amazed that the event is still going ahead. The event must be making a loss.

I've found an entry list. I am in shock. 34 cars! Only 5 S2000's! Oh dear Oh dear. I think the event will be quiet. Few spectators (£50!!!) and fewer marshals. Such a shame.

Really hope Alister has a good showing. Be interesting to see what he can get out of the Proton. BTW, has anyone seen an entry list for Rally Scotland yet? Anyone else going?

Was it the co-drivers side by any chance? Actually who was co driving for him this time? Who has he scared into retirement now?

Adam Gould really? Suprising. Has not really shined much in BRC this year.

Excellent news. I am now looking forward to the 500 mile trip to the event. Although I am a little surprised. I thought Wilks would get the BF Goodrich 207 guest drive for Scotland. I wonder who will get that now? My money is on Mark Higgins.

I don't understand. Skoda have built a very capable machine, yet are not committing to a full IRC campaign? Can anyone explain?
