I think if nothing else, we can all congratulate each other on proving beyond all doubt that Eddie Jordan is a gobsh1te. Why the BBC employ and pay him (using license fee payers money I hasten to add) is beyond all reasonable comprehesion. There are surely better pundits out there who should take his place.

Havn't found anything to confirm that double diffusers are out for 2010. All I have found so far is a few discussion forumsbut nothing based on facts from the actual F1 2010 regs. Richard / rob - can you direct me in the right direction with this please?

The door is open but not as wide as 12 months ago. No doubt a couple of teams will land on something that will give them an initial advantage as is the usual but most will catch up quickly. The biggest change is heavier cars due to no in race refueling and tyre degredation will be key to next year.

No use of bongs here and anyone who uses them should be strung up. rob - the only KERS I designed was using a large amount of champagne bottles and was designed with input from richard for fogey F1. I did actually ask autonumbnuts a while ago about where I could read more about their very own kers but my offer was declined. Strange that...

magoo - i care not of your opinion nor that of richard or mudplugger. Greedo is a very greedy chap who plays fast and hard with F1. He has got away with it for too long and has now binned the Brit GP. Whilst I don't like Silverstone, a race at Silverstone is better than no race.

I actually am a very successful engine designer and builder and developed my own KERS system and my own F1 car and had major success.... then I woke up and went to work. Whilst Ferrari are certainly one of the first of the teams to start on their 2010 horse and cart but they are without the big brains of the Schumacher era. McLaren, Red Bull and Merc will soon catch up if they are not there already. Williams may be a dark horse but the Cosworth is an unknown quantity to an extent.

I'm sure that next year they will do better until Alonsogate part III. They have been working on the 2010 car since summer and with not having to contest for any trophies should be able to put more resourses towards 2010. Time will tell I suppose.

2Pac - wasn't having a go or anything. I would say that both McLaren and Ferrari do seem to get complacent at times and rest on their laurels. But both have been given the wake up call required. One has lost their works engine support and the other has had one of their worst seasons since the mid 90s.
