The so-called new era of F1 - we've got Jacques, Schumacher, de la Rosa all trying to come back. Jesus. It'll be f***ing Ralf next, leading a reformed Rial team.

I'd forgotten all about Tung. What's he doing there? di Grassi is off to Manor, it will be confirmed soon. Baguette should get the third driver role I reckon. If Renault stick around. If they don't, the only French involvement in F1 will be f###ing Todt :(

Congrats to Vettel - he really is very good indeed. Definitely WDC one day, will have a tough fight against the Maccas and Ferraris next year but it will be great to watch. Who needs Schumacher back when you have this guy?

I wondered when Merc were going to get around to naming their young drivers for this test. Glad to see Conway get a shout, and Ericsson looks a handy driver. WOnder how many of the guys on the list will actually break into F1?

Its' going to happen isn't it? Bring back the old-timers, keep the new young guns out of F1. Jeez. I hope he falls off his bike again.

I thought overall the BBC did an excellent job. Jake Humphrey was a far better host than Steve Rider, The DC-EJ combination was great fun to watch - god didn't those two really detest each other at the beginning of the season! And the lack of ad breaks was a pure joy! As a result of this, Brundle's hugely entertaining grid walks were much longer. I particularly enjoyed his ongoing battle with the female German TV girl :) Only downer really was Legard - as a commentator he was soooooooo dull.

Good for him that he's not disappointed. As I posted elsewhere, if Chandhok's good enough, he'll get offered an F1 test sometime - it doesn't have to be a case of Force India or nothing.

@ Dario When did I turn this into a track vs track competition? You are talking out your a55 mate. All I said was, if BE has offered a much cheaper deal to Montreal, why can't he do it for Silverstone? That's all. Montreal is my second favourite F1 circuit after Spa - I was gutted when both fell off the calendar. Like I will be if we lose Silverstone. These are good circuits, that the drivers love competing at, they all need to stay on the calendar, and not be forced off by BE's excessive demands for stupid money. If Silverstone have to pay the earth just to host the race, they won't have the cash for all the redevelopment that is needed there. Sorry you missed my point so completely.

HEIDFELD! HEIDFELD! HEIDFELD! But he'll probably get passed over again knowing his luck. Koba would be a good choice, but I can't see Merc biting, plus he is hopefully off to Renault. Kimi can't be a55ed I don't think. Please god don't let Schumacher come back, I had enough of his smug grinning face, underhand tactics and rather camp podium jump last time round.
