RECOMMENDED COMMENT
4 agree.
Lewis, take some advice from and old man. Drive the car: the rest will take care of itself.

Canadian GP back on – at a fraction of Ecclestone's price
1 agrees.
Oh my Gawd, reason is rearing its silly little head. The next thing know, Bernie will start putting the fans first....Oh, no, sorry, fantasizing a bit there.

Renault muse following Toyota out of F1
2 agree.
The fix we are in is due to the greed and avarice of the Gnome. You know the saying: "If you want loyalty, get a dog." A breakaway series isn't going to fix anything, because the factory teams will insist the series is run for their benefit. Currently, F-1 isn't about racing, it's about selling cars and tires. Honda, BMW, Toyota, etc. are involved in auto racing when they perceive it's good for business, not for the love of the sport. When perceptions change, they leave. What makes it worse is when series become dependent on the manufacturers and suppliers, and are "run as a business" and forget the fans. Bring back the Ken Tyrrells, and the sport will last forever.

Ecclestone: Silverstone deal 'better than others'

Ecclestone's greed is getting tedious, as is Formula 1.

'Ahead of schedule' USF1 brush off doubts
I'm from Indiana, and I'm old enough to remember when Mario Andretti won the World Championship. I followed every minute. If USF1 happens, I might even resubscribe to the awful cable channel (SPEED) that carries most of the F-1 races in America, but in any event, I'll follow their progress closely.

Briatore explains Renault exit.
Flav. and Symonds quitting might save Renault from worse penalties, but to say "He quit for the good of the team," is nothing more than saying, "He jumped before someone pushed him." And let's be frank here, it's not like Flav. is going to starve, and you have to wonder if someone who trusted a twit like Nelson Jr. to keep his mouth closed isn't past his sell-by date.

STR confirms Bourdais exit; Alguersuari to test
1 disagrees.
Sebastien Bourdais is a good guy. I enjoyed watching him in the United States, and I am sorry things didn't work out in F-1. I hope he finds a good ride somewhere, I like that Renault idea, and that he enjoys it.

Peace in F1 threatened by latest Mosley letter.
1 agrees.
Mosley has been rendered functionally irrelevant. He should exit gracefully. It would be a nice change.

Mosley pushes on with cost cap after Ferrari court defeat
2 agree.
1 disagrees.
Here in America, we have a lot of experience with what can go wrong when the manufacturers become too powerful (think CART in the Ford, Honda, Toyota glory days). Ultimately, somewhere, somebody is going to have to say No to Ferrari, or the series will become a playground for the Scuderia. I think cost control is probably in the best long-term interest of the sport, BUT I see no way of policing the budget-cap unless the FIA institutes a claiming procedure or develops yet another spec. series (God save us from that). Otherwise, I shudder imagining the amount of time that is going to be spent arbitrating disputes.

Lewis Hamilton is 2008 F1 world champion.
1 disagrees.
It's sad that someone has to lose. McLaren and Ferrari, Massa and Hamilton, both had their ups and downs this season, and both Hamilton and Massa are worthy of the championship. It's sadder still that some are such poor sports. Congrats Lewis, you are a worthy champion. Best wishes to all concerned next year.
