Double British Class R2 Rally champion Jason Pritchard returns to Aldershot for the Tempest Rally this coming weekend a year on from finishing inside the top ten overall and the 21-year-old will be aiming for a similar result this time around.

In 2008 the British Rally Elite member was at the wheel of a four-wheel drive turbocharged Subaru Impreza and impressed mightily in what was only his second ever rally in a four-wheel drive.

This year he will use the Citroen C2R2 Max that he drove to class victory on a number of events in '09 and admits that he has his eye on the overall two wheel drive honours.

"Last year the Tempest was a steep learning curve for me but I really enjoyed the event. The opportunity to contest a rally so close to London is rare and so it seemed a good event to end the season with," he noted.

"We are working really hard on plans for 2010 and this might be the last rally I do in the C2R2 Max so I am keen to give it the best outgoing result possible.

"This will be the first rally this year where I have to use organisers' notes so I won't have the confidence to fully commit to them but we aim to have a laugh."
