Walker Talk: First half ups and downs

At this point, third in the championship was okay, but I knew my mistakes had cost us and Budapest was a chance to put this right. It's a very challenging circuit, but our car was very good once again. Third in qualifying - and therefore sixth on the top eight reverse grid - produced a fourth place finish, but it was Sunday's race that turned out to be unforgettable - for all the wrong reasons.

It wasn't just me either, as all the championship contenders failed to produce a result. Martinez had a mechanical problem, Baguette was caught out with the timing of his pit-stop and myself going off before my stop. This produced a very mixed result that saw Pasquale di Sabatino take his first win and, after a very up and down weekend, it was important to look on the bright side. Coming out of the weekend two points closer to the championship leader wasn't so bad, but another missed opportunity to lead the championship had come and gone.

Next up for me is a visit to the British Grand Prix, which I'm sure will be fantastic, then a quick trip back to Jersey before the build up to my own race weekend at Silverstone. It's going to be unforgettable to race in front of 150,000 supporters. Many fans from Jersey will also be making the hop across the channel to see the team and myself fight for another win. I hope I can give them something to cheer about!
