Spanish teen secures KTR seat

KTR have revealed that promising teenager Siso Cunill will occupy one of their vacant seats for the remainder of the World Series by Renault season.

The 17-year-old has spent much of the season racing in the Formula Renault Eurocup for Jenzer Motorsport and is currently classified 14th in the overall standings with a best result of sixth place at Spa.

The Spaniard is also racing in the Italian Formula Renault Championship, but will give up his seat in the series to pursue a drive with the Belgian team.

KTR, which is fronted by former British Formula 3 and Formula 3000 driver Kurt Mollekens, was left in the lurch following the last round of the championship in Hungary when drivers Guillaume Moreau and Daniil Move both walked out on the team following a run of poor results.

Although there is no word on the team's second driver, KTR will reveal their identity before the next round of the season at the Nurburgring next weekend.
