Pentus pens deal with Fortec

Mofaz Fortec Motorsport has confirmed Sten Pentus will form one half of its driver line-up for the new World Series by Renault season.

The Estonian made his debut in the category at the final round of the 2008 season, driving for Comtec Racing, before enjoying an outing with Fortec and KTR during post-season testing.

Graduating from the Formula Renault UK Championship, Fortec principal Richard Dutton was impressed with Pentus during his time with the team in Valencia.

“Sten came to us at the end of last year and made great progress in testing. He worked well with our engineering staff and quickly settled into the team to learn the car and circuit. We're looking forward to a successful year and from what we saw in testing, I'm sure Sten will achieve some strong results”

Pentus is expected to be joined in the team by Fairuz Fauzy, who will race with Fortec for a second season.
