Given that Mark Skaife reportedly owes A$3.6 mill after selling his Toorak "mansion" (quotations from Aust press) due to a sponsor reneging on a deal, I'm sure Walkinshaw will not have paid much for he team. He was a pretty hard charger as a driver, and even more ruthless when it comes to business. Financially things haven't been really solid for some years now, and I can't help thinking that Walkinshaw has been a part of the instability. Now he gets back very cheaply what he sold at an inflated price. Who will line up next??

Seems funny that walkinshaw use to own 3 teams and had to get rid of them for financial troubles. I recall there was also some team ownership issue with V8 supercars where the kelly''s, the weels and Skaife came to the rescue. Ironically they were all driving for the team and were able to come into dollars very fast to rescue Walkinshaw and deal with the team ownership issue. Now Walkinshaw has HRT back and PWR back?? I wonder if it was just paper exchanges for the sake of compliance and to protect the assets i.e the racing teams???
