Francois Duval has confirmed that while he is still trying to get the budget together to do the season ending Wales Rally GB, it is possible he could be there with OMV Kronos.

Duval, who has done three events in the second half of the season with the Belgian-based outfit and who put himself right back in the 'shop window' following his fantastic runners-up spot in Germany back in August, added that things are looking good for 2008 as well.

"I will try to drive in the RAC Rally - Wales Rally GB - but it's necessary to find more money to continue," he said in Corsica last weekend.

"It's quite positive for next year though. I will try to drive a really good car next year. I'm trying to drive a minimum of eight or ten rallies."

Duval's third outing with the OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team however ended in disappointment, when he was forced out of the Rallye de France-Tour de Corse on the road section back to the final service on day 2.

He had been en-route to another good points finish, fourth overall in his Citroen Xsara WRC car - despite having lost time in SS11 and SS12 due to alternator problems.

"The generator broke down on the eleventh special stage. We could only go on in safety mode from then on," he explained.

"I had hoped we would make it to the service but six kilometres short of Ajaccio everything broke down. A repair would have taken too long and wouldn't have made sense since we didn't stand a chance of any WRC points anymore," he summed-up.
