Crash.net Radio ahead of the Wales Rally GB, the final round in the 2007 FIA World Rally Championship...
Crash.net:Manfred, how are you feeling ahead of the Wales Rally GB?
Manfred Stohl:Good, I like the Rally GB very much. It is a very nice event and I have good results here all the time. It is OK for me.
Crash.net:Were you pleased with how the shakedown went?
MS:Yeah the shakedown was OK – no problem. Everything was fine. But the rally is a bit different.
Crash.net:What are your targets for Rally GB?
MS:As it is not going so well for me at the moment I don't have any proper targets. I just want to finish the rally and see what happens.
Crash.net:How big a role do you think the weather will play?
MS:Here the weather is always difficult and something can happen all the time. But that is typical for Wales.
Crash.net:Are you looking forward to those night stages?
MS:Yes it is quite nice. I like all the stages though and I think I will enjoy this rally.
Crash.net:Looking back on the previous 15 events, how would you sum up your season?
MS:We have had a lot of hard experiences. It could have been better but there is nothing I can change now. I am just looking to the future.
Crash.net:With OMV quitting the WRC, do you have any idea what your plans are for 2008?
MS:I am looking for new sponsors and we will see what happens. It is very, very difficult right now, but I could enter the Production Car World Rally Championship in February if I want. However I still hope to get some World Rally Car drives.
Crash.net:How much of a blow is it for your plans to continue competing in the WRC with OMV quitting?
MS:It is difficult - very, very difficult. As you know, today it is nearly impossible to get new sponsors.
Crash.net:Any idea when we might hear what your plans are for next year?
MS:Everyday I hope tomorrow but it is taking time.
Crash.net:What will you do if you don't do the WRC next year?
MS:I don't know. Stay at home and enjoy my life.
