Despite that caution though, he is optimistic about his prospects for the Rallye Monte Carlo, which will kick off the new season at the end of January, and he believes they could spring a surprise if the weather conditions are particularly challenging.

"I think it will be a real test for the car and hopefully everything will go very well there. Monte Carlo is always good for me and if the weather is difficult we could get quite a good result there," he concluded.
