Suzuki's Toni Gardemeister has retired from the opening leg of the Rally Argentina in the final 'proper' stage of the day.
The Finn, who had been seventh overall, damaged the suspension on his SX4 WRC when he hit a rock in the 18.70 kilometre-run through La Cumbre-Agua de Oro 2.
SS8 also claimed Luis-Perez Companc, when the Argentine went off the road in his Munchi's Ford Focus and got stuck in a ditch.
