Petter Solberg officially launched the new 'Petter Solberg World Rally Team' today ahead of Rally Norway, the second round in the 2009 World Rally Championship.

'Hollywood', who of course was left in the lurch back in December when Subaru canned its WRC programme at short notice, has been working flat-out since then to put together a programme and he confirmed a few weeks back that he will use a Citroen Xsara WRC car in Hamar.

Today he took the opportunity to show of his new steed in his home town, Spydeberg, complete in its striking black and silver livery, to reflect the colours of principal sponsor, Johs Lunde Yachting.

"I have been working flat-out and I'm really proud to present my new team today," the 2003 World Rally champion told his personal website.

"I have a lot of brilliant people around me and they have all been working 24 hour shifts for me these past weeks.

"Without them and my sponsors this would not have been possible."

The 'Petter Solberg World Rally Team' will be managed by Ken Rees, formerly the team co-ordinator and logistics manager at the Subaru World Rally Team, while another ex-Subaru man, Francois-Xavier Demaison will act as Petter's chief engineer.
