Pleased that they are staying, but have to ask:

I know Ford EUR makes a profit, but how can Ford be asking for $9bn to help it survive, yet continue to fund the WRC programme?

Glad they are carrying on, but I''m surprised they are.

Ford has announced that it will remain in the World Rally Championship next season fielding an unchanged driver line-up.

Not sure how that works. Maybe the sponsors foot the majority of the bill.

Actually, Ford just wants that loan 'if they need it'. They're supposedly in the best shape of the 3 US companies and figure if the other 2 are going to get some cheap loans, why not join in?

Chevy's still spending plenty on the WTCC too, and way more money's spent on NASCAR by all of them

Great news that they remain in what is left of the WRC, but surely the powers that be at the blue oval would have advised Malcolm that the day of announcement stating they were staying in the championship should not be the same day they are in congress in Washington begging for 9 billion to help them stay afloat??!! I'm sorry, but another truly dumb move on behalf of a company that has totally lost the plot!!
