F1 is next :p

Well done to VW! Bad luck to Sainz though, crashing into an un-cited ravine isn't a good way to go and after leading for so long.

Yea, well done to VW for keep trying and winning 1-2 for this year Dakar. You suppose to win this year Sainz, for not the hole. But still congratulation to you. Mitsubishi, keep trying back next year. Not forget to Gordon and his American Hummer.

Hope this Dakar will return back to the original route, if not do it somewhere else like this year.

Coma, thank you for winning this year again.

Does anybody know whether VW will continue his Dakar-program or not? Rumors say this was their last dakar.

It was a refreshing Dakar. With so many withdrawals of top contenders, stages being shortened & even being run as non-special, this one turned out be tougher for the competitors and possibly even the organisers, than many expected. Well done to everyone at VW - awesome job. Considering the huge role played by the navigator's, it's surprising that their names are omitted so often in the results published.
