WRC » M-Sport completes first phase of S2000 testing

The feedback from the driving legend that is Matt Wilson will be invaluable to developing a car that will be consistently slower than what Citroen will come up with.

I seen the new fiesta s2000 at the factory when I visited it a few months ago and my word it looks like a great car. I think it has the potential to be just as good or if not better than the focus it is replacing.

Chris, I think you should have done the testing instead of Matt, that way M Sport would of had some really valuable feedback from someone who Really knows how to drive a Rally Car and somone who has a wealth of knowledge of driving top line Rally Cars, oh wait, but Matt does too....hmmm

At this point its only endurance testing. The proper testing will take place in Spain before Homologation.
Christian has designed the car so it wont be coming 7th so you can rest assured.

Mikko and Jari Matti will be driving this car in 2011 with the 1.6 turbo engine so its going to win. I think Ford will have a really good successor to the Focus here. They could win the Teams cup in its 1st Year.

Thanks Dafydd I think you're right. I could have done it. I suspect if you dusted off the old helmet you would put up a better show than living legend Matt Wilson too.

I've heard that following the tests, M-Sport already believe the Fiesta S2000 is a shoe in for 7th places.....

Any of you boys off to Rally GB this weekend ? I'll be there for from Thursday am at Shakedown, cheering Matt on to 7th place !!!

Ill be there. Marshalling all 3 days. I cant wait. Get very excited every year. 3 days away from work, and most the time no phone signal either... Bliss.

Shame the entry is not what it used to be, cnat beleive people like Mark and David Higgins are not competing. Still, hopefully warmer than last year though.

Wish I had a plane ticket and time off for this! Its a long way from Malaysia. lol.
But it's ok, TV coverage is fine. Hope to make it to one of the rounds for next year, as a tourist trip.
