I think the event needed Mr Wilks to big it up !! in his usual style in the new Skoda otherwise there won't be as much interest for us petrolheads to see who wins the big scrap at the front.
Running order I hope will help Al Mcrae because they are reversing the top 10 & I am sure it will be a bit moist under foot.

Really hope Alister has a good showing. Be interesting to see what he can get out of the Proton.

BTW, has anyone seen an entry list for Rally Scotland yet? Anyone else going?

I've found an entry list. I am in shock. 34 cars! Only 5 S2000's! Oh dear Oh dear. I think the event will be quiet. Few spectators (£50!!!) and fewer marshals. Such a shame.

I agree I hope Al Mcrae get's the Proton on the podium. It's a bit like a BRC event with 3 of our best Brits in competitive cars.
Shame no Higgins brothers, Gwyndaf & Stuart Jones.

I also hope Alistair has a good run.

Would be great if he could beat the arrogant Mr Wilks after all his pre-event blarb about it being a fight between him and Kris Meeke - particularly if he beats Wilks in the Proton, after he vacated the Satria saying it was underdeveloped !!!

It didn't look 'under developed' on Rally Ireland at the begginning of the year, when Niall McShea was getting top three times.

As you say, a poor entry.

I'm out on the Roger Albert Clark this weekend (the best rally of the year by far !), so won't be travelling all the way back up 3 days later for Rally of Scotland, particularly for that entry.

Maybe one rally too far, after Rally GB 2 weeks ago

Seems that the economy has finally had an impact on my contribution to Motorsport.

Was planning to go up on Wednesday night to Marshal for the entire event. After discussions with mates, have decided to can the trip.

Initially I thought that the PDF I had been sent with the entry on was corrupt and half was missing. Then realised Adam Gould was seeded at 4!

We just cant justify a 1200 mile round trip to watch such a poor entry. With cars running at 1 minute intervals, each stage will be over in little over 30 minutes.

Such a shame. Actually was looking forward to this more than Rally GB. I am amazed that the event is still going ahead. The event must be making a loss.

Similar feelings here, was planning on going, booked time off work. Sounded great when it was announced last year.
However, a £50 Rallypass is hard to justify for only 5/6 S2000's, and only 34 entries. Any normal event would've been canned, but as it is backed/organised by the same people as RallyGB (IMS) it's going ahead. Good luck to all, but a 9-10 hour round trip is a lot for a really poor entry. Could the organisers have done more, I wonder?

:rolleyes:IRC Championship decided so everyone saves the budget.Perhaps if every score counted instesad of best 7 or whatever then we would see last rounds with a decent field.Very sad that theres no Higgins (what happened to the MG drive) or Evans. Sad for everyone but canning it would have been worse.Meeke,Wilks and McRae-bring it on!

You could almost crawl throught the Rally in a basic entry level Rally car and probably get a Decent result. A Top 20 finish in an international event does wonders for your seeding for future events

Its Sad to see such a poor attendance. I feel sorry for the organisers. They must be Gutted. I think Alister could give the boys a nasty shock here, he used to go so well in the Yellow Golf back in the day, that required a simular driving technique (Ref keeping it on the Boil)

I think Kris should win here no problem, but I wonder who will finish closest to Kris. The Proton flew in Ireland with Crazy Nial peddeling it, Im sure Alister can get a Really Good Result if it stays Reliable.
