NEWS FLASH: Mikko and Henning out | WRC News | Mar 2008

BP Ford Abu Dhabi's Mikko Hirvonen has crashed out of the Rally Argentina, while comfortably leading by just over 50 seconds.

Mikko, who had dominated the first loop this morning, made a mistake on the repeat run through the 23.28 kilometre Ascochinga-La Cumbre 2 test, when he hit a rock.

Early reports suggest the Finn damage the suspension on his Focus RS WRC car. He has not been able to continue.

Henning Solberg meanwhile also had problems in SS5 and like Mikko, he apparently hit a rock and damaged the suspension. The Stobart Ford man was also unable to complete the test.
