Mikko Hirvonen takes over the lead in the battle for the 2009 WRC drivers' crown following his victory in Poland, round eight in the series.
Hirvonen's maximum haul, in combination with Sebastien Loeb's error on day 1, which meant the Frenchman could only finish seventh and score two points, gives Mikko a 1-point lead going into the WRC's 4-week summer break.
Dani Sordo remains third in the drivers' standings, while Henning Solberg moves up to fourth.
In the Manufacturers' championship the Citroen Total WRT increases the gap from 15 points to 17. Ford had been set to cut the deficit to 6 points prior to Jari-Matti Latvala shock crash in the final test, the 2.50 km super special, which cost him and the 'Blue Oval' the runners-up spot.
