Fans unable to make it to Wales for the final round of the World Rally Championship season will benefit from extra coverage of the event with the news that the BBC will show extensive highlights of the event following the weekend.

Highlights of Rally GB will air on BBC Two Wales on Monday 26 October at 11.30pm and will also be available on the BBC iPlayer for seven days following transmission.

Those fans outside Wales can access the show via digital satellite on Sky channel 991.

Mark James, who was a presenter on the WRC from 1995 until 2002 will present and produce the coverage.

“For me this is like going home,” he said. “After doing this job for eight years, to get the chance to produce and commentate on the sport in my own back yard is fantastic.”
