2009 World Rally Championship with his own team - the Petter Solberg World Rally Team - using a Citroen Xsara WRC. Results: 6th in Norway, 3rd in Cyprus, 4th in Portugal, retired in Argentina (fuel pressure), 3rd in Sardinia, retired in Greece (suspension), 4th in Poland, retired in Finland (engine).
2008 World Rally Championship - Subaru. 6th in drivers' standings, 46 points. Results: 5th on the Monte, 4th in Sweden, 12th in Mexico (under SupeRally - driveshaft problem on day 2), retired in Argentina (electrical failure), retired in Jordan, 10th in Sardinia, 2nd in Greece, 6th in Turkey, 6th in Finland, 5th in Germany, 4th in NZ, 5th in Spain, 5th in France, 8th in Japan, 4th in Wales.
2007 World Rally Championship - Subaru. 5th in drivers'. Scored 47 points. Results: 6th on Monte, withdrawn in Sweden (after off on day 2 - lost over 14 minutes), 4th in Norway, retired in Mexico, 2nd in Portugal, retired in Argentina, 5th in Sardinia, 3rd in Greece, withdrew in Finland (technical problems), 6th in Germany, 7th in NZ, 6th in Spain, 5th in France, 16th in Japan (under SupeRally - had mechanical problem on day 1), 5th in Ireland, 4th in GB.
2006 World Rally Championship - Subaru. 6th in drivers' championship. Scored 40 points. Results: retired on Monte (engine), excluded in Sweden, 2nd in Mexico, 7th in Spain, 11th in France, 2nd in Argentina, 9th in Sardinia, 7th in Greece, retired in Germany (engine), retired in Finland (crashed), 7th in Japan, 8th in Cyprus, 13th in Turkey, 2nd in Australia, 6th in NZ, 3rd in GB.
2005 World Rally Championship - Subaru. Second in drivers' championship, despite having scored the same number of points as Marcus Gronholm (took the runners-up spot lost owing to fact he won 3 events, while Gronholm took only 2 wins). Scored 71 points in total. Results: Retired on Monte, won in Sweden, won in Mexico, 3rd in NZ, 2nd in Italy, retired in Cyprus (mechanical), 2nd in Turkey, 9th in Greece, 3rd in Argentina, 4th in Finland, 7th in Germany, won in GB, retired in Japan, 3rd in France, 13th in Spain, retired in Australia.
