2009 Petter Solberg forms his own team - the ‘Petter Solberg World Rally Team’ - after Subaru pulls out of the WRC and leaves the Norwegian without a drive.

Petter Solberg makes his debut with his own outfit on the Rally Norway competing in a Citroen Xsara WRC.

Results to date: 6th in Norway, 3rd in Cyprus, 4th in Portugal, retired in Argentina (fuel pressure), 3rd in Sardinia, retired in Greece (suspension), 4th in Poland
