PBM extends sponsorship deals

Paul Bird Motorsport has announced Vent Axia and Kick Energy will continue as their team sponsors for the 2009 World Superbike season.

An extension of an agreement that last year appeared on the international stage with PBM's graduation to the world championship in 2008, Vent-Axia and Global Brands, through their Kick Energy product, will also support them in their transition to manufacturer team with Kawasaki.

A fifth consecutive season of sponsorship for ventilation company Vent Axia, 2009 will also signal an eighth year of partnership between PBM and Global Brands, who have previously offered sponsorship in the guise of VK Vodka Kick and Corky's.

"It's fantastic that we have the support and backing of both Vent Axia and Kick Energy once again as we move into an exciting new era for our team,” said Paul Bird. “We have always placed a big emphasis on loyalty within the team and it's great that our sponsors do likewise.

“Quite simply, I couldn't imagine our bikes or my car without their stickers on, they're part of the furniture! Hopefully, we'll have a great season all round and we can repay their continued faith in us."

PBM Kawasaki, which makes its official debut at the Portimao test later this month, enter the new season with the rider line-up of Makoto Tamada and Broc Parkes
