Why should Max cut his rates. He's been competitive in his first year in Superbike yet Batta offered him less to ride in 2008 than he got this year due to FG Sport not subsidising his salary next year.

Would those of you who are all so quick to knock him happily take a 20% or 30% pay cut with their current employers???

I thought not. Muppets.

It is only logical that this fact happen....no main sponsor : how can a team afford to hold a rider as BIAGGI with huge financial requests and others things he want as by the past ;)!!! ALSTARE go for a yound rider's set up....bring new worldchamp ;) ;)

BIAGGI got what he derserves : such an selfish guy must know that beeing in this special family team, must change his character or leave it !
Perfect rider, but not the worst human beeing I saww around in the WSBK : avoiding also fans, little childrens waiting under the showers to have their pictures signed, not signing helmets or other items just because he think people will sell those items. what a poor character.
Hope ALSTARE will have some time off as they are all surely very tired about this season. A new start hopefully soon.... :D

if he s so big then he shouild be able to land a good sponsorship deal - if ua) dont win the chshuip and b) dont bring a sponsor, maybe i s just that u dont deserve to make at least twice as much as the rest of the field

How much was biaggi being paid?
Troy Bayliss, JT, corser, haga, are few of many superstars in wsbk.
how much are they worth? compared to max ?

Having lost a factory Suzuki because he refused to decrease his compensation, Biaggi will find it difficult to get the kind of money he requires from a team already set. The other teams don't have any more money than Batta, and they probably would face strong opposition from their signed riders...

I'm afraid we have seen Biaggi's last motorcycle racing season ; I would not be surprised to see him now involved in car racing, like WTCC for Alfa Romeo or FIA GT...

It's sad though that he did not have a shot at the title through a second WSBK season..

What a jerk. I used to be a big fan of biaggi but he disgusts me now. Why on earth did he want to leave the great team. He truly is down right cheap.

Why the hell doesnt he realise that no one is gonna pay him the fees he asks for at his age. Dumb character.

Barros bite the bullet and throw his money in to get GP rides and WSB and I'm sure Max has more money then Alex.
Plus a man of his stature must be able to bring in a big sponser!!

well as far as i know , biaggi was making over 2mm eur. only troy b made more than 1mm in wsbk last year it seems - i think toseland, haga and corser were waaaaay down 1mm mark - so go figure.

basically there s no money in wsbk. word is checa will ride the ten kate next year for 200k eur and some space on the fairing for sponsors. that s from ten kate, i dont know if honda will chip in. that is a dedicated guy. and that was one of the reasons why barros didnt get the jiob, he wouldnt take that pay .
