Tamada should have stuck with Bridgestone. He was fast at the all the Bridgestone tracks in 03. I hope he does well in WSBK. Seeing him against Haga should be wicked because they both have crazy riding styles!

Gawd, not another one! WSB is increasingly a rest-home for well past-it ex-MotoGP riders.
Get rid of them - we want new talent not the old has-beens (or in Tamama's case never has-been).

yep! Yamada did mistake when he went to Konica Minolta. He did his best on Honda/Bridgestone and then switched to the new but unkown Konica Minolta team. I guess they though he'll be new japanese hero on any kind of unkown new team. Konica Minolta was even worse than Tech 3. Tamada will back on top in WSBK - new Kawasaki ZX-10RR must be brilliant as the new rider:) wish you luck Mak!

I agree with Otto. Every one of these old codgers coming into WSB denies a chance for some younger talent.
How can our up-and-coming riders ever get the chance to prove themselves when all the best seats are filled with these old crusties?
Pension them off.

yeah I wouldn't classify Tamada as a 'never has-been', that term applies
to riders who never won. But Tamada although he never realized his potential
he still managed to win 2 races in MotoGp & also won as a wildcard in WSBK.
That's 2 more wins than riders like Colin Edwards & john Hopkins have, in a lot
less starts.

mononuke is right and tamada has never been with a factory team. he won with pons, whereas edwards had a very good factory yamaha and did not win. i do think that hopkins has not been given a winning bike. the suzuki was only just not good enough and the kawasaki will only be as good as the suzuki, unless he hits wet weather and a bridgestone circuit.
he could win motegi next year

One thing is for sure, Tamada can ride a bike 100 times better than you ****** armchair critics. Haga, Bayliss, Corser, get rid of them all eh as they are all past-it has-beens? I bet you most of you idiots that scream of "old farts" are very young... Just cos you hit 30 doesn't mean you are not still world class! Put Pedrosa or Stoner on a Superbike... you think they would instantly whip everyone? You are sadly mistaken!

Another fine rider to the series. The ratings for this years WsbK will reach new heights just as competition at the front will.
I know that alot think that too many "old Guard" are in it now but it WILL lead to racing as you boys want to see it.
Pete + Otto, if these guys weren't here as some sort of benchmark as to high high you have to jump over the bar to succeed, the next "new" young champ could have an easy season in WsbK and then get torn to shreds by the Dogs in MotoGp.

Too many of you are looking forward to seasons start more than the MotoGp's... Some will never admit it ;)
