i''ve no doubts that James is physically and mentally fit enough for the longer races, but he needs to do some long runs in practise to get used to handling the tyres for five or so laps longer than the average BSB race.

if he can beat muggeridge, lavilla and walker then it''s a cracking effort. if he can beat sofu and challenge checa and even kiyo (on another very familiar circuit) then that shows you just how good a team hydrex bike animal are.

James has done a wild card entry before in WSBK and finished 5th But I agree with the tyres scenario. Its total concentration from now on in.

Unfortunately for James 2 career choices that should have been good, turned out to be the opposite.
IMO he is as good as any in the BSB in the past 3 seasons, one can only hope that Ducati Corse remember how keen they were to place him in the D'Antin team and place him in the WSB team or persuade GSE to take him on.

He was given a test ride on the Yamaha and offered the Motogp ride. It was awsome. Unfortunately the Bike was the 'Old Chassis' which worked. As soon as James was on the 'New Chassis' at the start of the season he knew it wasnt going to work for him. if you look back on that year it didnt even work for Rossi/ Edwards or Checa bi AND Rossi lost the Championship that year. So James was left in the end to help develop the new chassis on test tyres whilst everyone else got back on the OLD chassis. (Two for Checa and none for James ) Then for all his hard work Guintolli (who was never as fast as James in testing) got his ride . Then got the Dantin Ride
this year.
