I was at Brands Hatch yesterday with my husband and daughters and saw the accident happen just in front of where we were standing. From that moment on a hush fell over the circuit and it never really left us. My attention was on Craig the whole time from then on as was that of most of the crowd around us. I have just learned of the sad news of his death. On behalf of my family I would like to offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Craig''s family and friends. God bless.

My girlfriend said something to me when i told her, she is a nurse and has a few dealings with severe head injuries. she told me that it was probably better that he did go and not spend his days being pushed around unrecognisable to us and his loved ones. The guy died a hero, doing what he loved, seeking the glory most of us desire through one means or another, he knew the score and would have chosen this option, just not so soon. We have lost a few of our heros over the years but we have not forgotten them. Beloved "Jonsie" R.I.P.

So gutted to hear the news, I never met Craig but every person who I have spoken to who had met him spoke extremely highly of him. Even though I never met him I did have the excitement of watching him ride on numerous occasions. He was without a doubt one of the sports most tallented riders and also great entertainers. Each and every time I watched him race I would make stupid noises all the time like wooooo when the rear end was creeping round as he entered a corner way faster than any other person, his "backing it in" was amazing to watch. His family should feel proud. I feel priviledged to have watched him race. RIP Craig god bless
