what a racer ironicly this was the first supersport race id have ever watched but the thing that stood out from the start was the way craig battaled at every corner at every second even when it started to rain he still gave 100% when others backed off that to me showed great courage and skill and extreme brevery he was destined for great things he will be sorely missed my thoughts are with his family at this difficult time and reading his fathers words it was clear he died doinf what he loved r.i.p craig jones a real legend

A huge tragedy, a terrible loss & unreserved sympathy to those close.

I wish the reports would drop the constant references to Andrew Pitt hitting Craig 'tho.

Craig died of head & neck injuries. The lad hit his head on the track at a weird angle with immense force. It was almost like a 'curled around highside' that threw him downward instead of up. Very odd, very unexpected. Not something he'd have been able to predict or do anything about. The only glimmer of hope - it was *so* fast he really would not have known anything about it or felt more than the bike going from under him.

Pitt hit Craig's thigh & maybe his body. It made no material difference - except it probably gutted Pitt.
