Hey Tom, alongside that white flag with red diagonals that were being waved along the Craner curves the marshalls were waving yellow flags, Troy Bayliss should not have overtaken you when he did because of those yellow flags. So you should really be feeling hard done by cos you were cheated out of a win.

Tom Sykes claims second at Donington Park... but it could have been so much better.

Never mind the flags rule, what about Bayliss being on a completely different bike in the second part of the race, obviously something had altered.Anyway congrats to Sykes andCrutchlow for putting on a great show. And to anyone who gave a cheer when Kiyo crashed out{and there was quite a few}you should be ashamed of your actions, racing does not need people like you.

Firstly well done tom sykes for showing WSB that your more than capable of running in and beating the best in the world, cos that is just what you did, and secondly why oh why can't we have the same flag system throughout bike racing, what is so different between bsb and wsb that warrants a completely different flag ruling, I know tom should maybe have been a bit wiser but this could have potentially caused a crash.

Im not missing the point at all ! Sykes is saying he thought that flag was for the pace car. The breifing clearly states its a different flag to bsb.

Although sykes was leading at the time the flag was at hollywood to craner not out of redgate where tom slowed and troy passed.

As i said take nothing away from sykes he rode well.

This decision was wrong in my book. I was on the hill near the old hairpin on the outside of the track. We all clearly saw a waved yellow flag at the top of the Craner curves and also another one at the old hairpin. Bayliss overtook between these two flags. After the race i went down and spoke to the marshalls who confirmed this and said that they had already sent in report about 10 mins prior to me coming to speak with them. Sykes was robbed to be honest and i feel for him, hope he gets a chance at a top team in WSB, he rides like he belongs there.

mark, your missing the point, there is no excuse re the rain flag for Sykes, but there is also no excuse for Bayliss overtaking on a clearly waved yellow flag.

Everyone as a wildcard was given a breifing at the start of the weekend and was told this flag meant raining , no excuse but he rode well

Martin, the yellow flag is the same in both championships, it means you cannot overtake. I know they were being waved I was there at the Craner Curves when the incident took place.
But on your point about the rules, I agree with you they should be aware. But on the common sense side you would think that the rules on "SAFETY" flags would be universal for the sake of safety. :?
