Alfie - to go with the other comments, Sofouglu asked to go back to WSS. He has struggled a lot this year, got no results and generally hasn't enjoyed the step up. Hats off to Ten Kate for keeping him in the family, and treating him with the respect he deserves. All the TK riders talk about the great family feeling there - Charpentier refused to leave till he retired!! I hope Pitt can carry the season home for WC number 2. He is one of the riders who gives it all every week regardless of the bike or the team, and deserves a break.

Sofuoglu will defend his title again and prepare himself for new 600cc series (instead 250cc) in 2011 or as Pitt did he will switch to MotoGP!... Anyway good luck.

My hope is for both Pitt and Sofouglu to have continued success as teammates. Both seem like good guys, and with both having been touched by tragedy during the season, I'd say they're quite deserving of some better times.

obviously there was no sbk ride available for kenan at team ten kate. however, it's a shame that he did not give sbk another push at another team. I can't see why he is so willing and happy to step down.

Alfie I think the reason is as Bulent says - Ten Kate have plans to enter MotoGP - they will start by contesting the new 600 class which will replace the 250's. Sofuoglu and Pitt will then be perfectly placed to move into the new MotoGP support class in which, given Ten Kate's fantasitic record of success, they must start as the favourites.

I dont think Sufouglu is ready for WSB, I would think it is unlikely he will be in contention next year in WSS. Pitt will likely be the one to carry the TK banner in WSS.
