WSBK » WSS: Pitt takes title after Rea elimination

Great to Andrew Pitt win another WC. Even as a self proclaimed Pitty fan it was still unfortunate to see Rea get carved up by Harms and not be in a position to take it to the wire next race. Let''s hope that another successful season with TK in the WSS, then on to the new 600 micromotoGP class in 2010, will undo some of the shafting he has been on the receiving end of through his career. Team TK definitely look after their riders much better than most other WSBK / WSS teams.

Congrats to Pitty after a season he will never forget, it must have been hard given what happened with craig Jones .

Bayliss and Pitt .. 2 great champions and nice guys to boot..

Congratulations to Andrew Pitt. Great to see him win after what happened at Brands But I was disappointed in his comments about Vallelunga before the race and in the post race interview. It was his own fault and not the same as the Rea/Harms incident.

Absolutely gutted for Johnathan - really felt that he could have took it down to the last race :( We're all really proud of you back home Johnathan

Congratulations to Andrew. Really bad luck for Johnny but noone can take anything away from Andrew's ride today, especially after being taken out in the last race. Two Aussie world champions in one day - fantastic. So deserving of Andrew because of the rough year he has had. Amazing race.

I think whoever got the WSS title this year will have earned it. Great fighting throughout the season. Shame it didn't go to the wire like it should have. I was quite a fan of Andrew Pitt until in his interview at the start of the WSBK program on Eurosport he just moaned like a like a spoiled kid... real shame. Cant wait to see Jonny Rea and all other Brits in WSBK next season, I think Pitt vs Sofoglu et al will make a great WSS season for 09.

Never was the phrase 'keep out of Harms way' more appropriate!
Well done to Pitt though, and Rea can look forward to an awesome year in superbikes.

Have you ever meet Andrew?? Spoiled i dont think so he has never been given a free ride. Sounds like you are a bit of a whinger, Pitty road well and deserved it.

Smithy, come on mate Paul 46 is obviously a pom so the whinger part is natural. With the 46 in his name that would make him a Rossi fan, I wonder why it's not Paul 52, maybe his jumps from bandwagon to bandwagon.

I will sit down an watch the race this afternoon, At least Andrew won races this time in his world championship. Having met Andrew a few times, he has done it tough to leave home and battle on a foreign country to make a name for himself. I guess those, who race so close to home with family, sponsors and creature comforts would have no idea. It has been a roller coaster ride for Andrew and it's fantastic to see him with a 2nd World championship.

what a surprise... pom comments! well done lads very original hahaha! i never said he didnt deserve it, he did, its probably the clsoest faught championship this season. Yes i have met Andrew, yes he is a nice bloke and as i said i was quite a fan of his, well i still am as i think he has ridden very well this year. I also dont begrudge him is opinion, but talking liek that on tv is not the way to behave and treat a team. most unlike him which is why i said it is a real shame. Now open your eyes and get rid of you "must be a pom" insecurities!

With regard to the name i have supoorted rossi since i started watching bike racing, also a big JT fan and i respect any of the guys on the grid!
